The mobile food service program at OCCHD ensures proper licensing, inspection, and education of mobile food vendors throughout Oklahoma County. The program also serves as a guide by providing potential vendors with all the steps required for legal operation in Oklahoma County, as well as proper construction of a mobile food vehicle. We work hand in hand with the vendor to ensure that all processes involved with licensing, education, and inspection are informative and happen as quickly as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: I have a mobile that was previously licensed in another county. How do I obtain a license in Oklahoma County?
Before purchasing a mobile, please refer to the Construction Guidelines and make sure the mobile being bought meets these guidelines. Obtain a blueprint if possible as well as pictures of the interior and exterior. Mobile requirements have recently changed, and some municipalities have additional mobile requirements, so changes could be required of your mobile before it can be licensed in Oklahoma County. The individual should also be able to provide proof that the mobile was licensed in a county in Oklahoma.

If the mobile has a current mobile license with the Oklahoma State Department of Health and has been licensed in Oklahoma County, please call (405) 425-4348. Question: Can I park my mobile or pushcart at this location? If not, why?
If you are parking in Oklahoma City, you must obtain a written letter of permission from the property owner where you are going to park. You will also need to contact the City of Oklahoma City at (405) 297-2606 to verify that the location you have selected is zoned for the operation of mobile units. OCCHD does not have the authority to determine where a mobile can park. If you are in another municipality, please contact your local city hall.
