Protect yourself and your partner!
The control and prevention of communicable diseases, including sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), is one of the most important functions of Public Health. Treatment has been available for syphilis and gonorrhea since the 1940’s, yet these STDs and others are still major problems for sexually active men and women today. At the Oklahoma City-County Health Department, we want to help you learn the symptoms of common STDs, what to do if you suspect that you or your partner may be infected with STDs, and learn how to protect yourself from future infections
If you are sexually active and would like to be checked, plan to visit our STD clinic. We have an expert group of nurse clinicians, RNs, and LPNs working under CDC guidelines and OU Infectious Disease physicians providing excellent care for anyone 12 years old and older. Parental permission is not required for patients ages 12-17.
Fee for Service: $10.00 (A visit to a private physician could cost up to $200.00 or more)
Please be advised that the STD clinic is an adult clinic. Children are not allowed in the clinic area, so please plan accordingly
For further information about OCCHD’s STD clinic, please see our fact sheets, offered in both English and Spanish.
