H1N1 vaccine and seasonal flu vaccine is available at our Immunization clinic at 921 NE 23rd Street. This is a walk-in clinic and is open to everyone. The H1N1 vaccine is also readily available in multiple places throughout Oklahoma County, including physicians offices and pharmacies. The health department encourages those people who are in priority groups that have been designated by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Oklahoma State Health Department to get the vaccine if they haven’t already done so. Those priority groups are:
- Pregnant women
- All children ages 6 months to 18 years
- Custodial parents of infants less than 6 months of age
- Frontline healthcare workers who have direct patient contact with acutely ill persons
- Adults 19 to 64 years of age with chronic disease
