While each H1N1 clinic will be open to the general public, the health department encourages those people who are in the priority groups that have been designated by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Oklahoma State Health Department to get the vaccine if they haven’t already done so. Those priority groups are:
- Pregnant women
- All children ages 6 months to 18 years
- Custodial parents of infants less than 6 months of age
- Frontline healthcare workers who have direct patient contact with acutely ill persons
- Adults 19 to 64 years of age with chronic disease
