Q: Who is eligible for services?
- Any family with a child from birth through 12 years old, in Oklahoma County, is eligible for services from Child Guidance.
Q: Is there a charge for services?
- There is a charge for some services such as screening, evaluation, and therapy. The fee is based on a sliding scale and ability to pay. No one will be turned away for inability to pay. Medicaid is also accepted.

Q: Can I drop my child off at a play group?
- No, parents and children must attend play groups together.
Q: Do you have a Mothers Day Out program?
- No, we do not provide child care of any kind.

- Yes, with written permission (and valid ID showing the adult is 18 years or older) from a biological/custodial parent. The letter must have the name of the child, parent, adult, the date, what kind of appointment and give specific permission for the child to be seen.

- The staff in Child Guidance have masters degrees. They also have certifications, licenses, etc. according to their discipline.

- We offer consultative services to anyone that requests them. Also, a program called the Developmental Screening Initiative is available; please click on the link to find out more.
Q: How can I decide if I need Child Guidance services?
- We encourage every parent with a child from birth through 12 years in Oklahoma County to use Child Guidance Services as a resource.
Q: What kind of continuing education credit will my child care staff receive?
- We provide certificates of participation for many workshops we provide. The certificates will help you earn STARS credit.
Q: What family members can come to the appointments?
