Behavioral Health Services are provided by Psychologists, Psychological Clinicians and Clinical Social Workers to families with children from birth to 12 years of age.
What Does the Behavioral Health Staff Do?
- Identifies or facilitates the early identification of children with psychological, social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
- Provides psycho-educational and prevention services to children.
- Trains, educates and consults with parents, professionals and caregivers on techniques to promote optimal psychosocial development.
- Administers psychosocial screenings and limited evaluations of children.
- Provides limited counseling services and refers families who are in need of long-term treatment services to appropriate resources.
- Collaborates with community organizations to ensure systems are in place to meet families’ parenting needs.
