In this section of the website, you will find each OCCHD department listed alphabetically on the left side of the screen. The organization structure of OCCHD involves four tiers of staff. The four tiers are:
- Executive Management (Agency Director)
- Executive Staff (Deputy Director, Assistant Director, Medical Director, and Legal Counsel)
- Division Chiefs (Public Health Promotion, Public Health Protection, Chief Financial Officer, Personal Health, and Community Health)
- Program Administrators and Supervisors
Services are distributed primarily among two divisions: Administrative Services Division and Community Services Division. Within each division, specific services are provided through a network of agency-based programs, permanent clinics, and occasional clinics in Oklahoma County.
The year 2009 was OCCHD’s 55th year of operation in the Oklahoma City-County area. OCCHD is governed by a Board of Health created under the authority of Oklahoma Statute, Title 63, Section 1-210. This board meets once a month.
Nine members serve on a volunteer basis for a six year term. The Mayor of Oklahoma City appoints five members, and the Board of County Commissioners of Oklahoma County appoints four members.
