Currently, Oklahoma law prohibits smoking inside school facilities for all school districts. It does not include the grounds of the school and it does not address spit/smokeless tobacco. However, some schools are taking a proactive step towards healthy behavior and are implementing 24/7 tobacco free policies at their campuses.
A 24/7 tobacco free school policy prohibits the use of all tobacco products on all school owned property by everyone. The policy applies to everyone, including parents, staff, students, and visitors 24 hours a day seven days a week. A 24/7 tobacco free school policy is a state recognized voluntary policy that any public or private school can adopt.
